We use artificial intelligence to restore your photos. Here's what that means for you.

What the AI does

• Removes scratches, creases, tears, stains and fading.
• Sharpens faces and fine detail.
• Adds natural-looking color to black-and-white photos. The colors are a best guess, not a record of the original colors.
• Fills in small missing or damaged areas, which means some details may be recreated rather than recovered.

Keeping faces true

After each restoration, an automatic check compares every face to your original photo. If a face looks too different, we try again with stricter instructions. If it still doesn't match, our team reviews it.

Who provides the AI

• Google Gemini restores the photo.
• Amazon Web Services checks faces and screens uploads for explicit content.

What we don't do

• We never use your photos to train AI models.
• We never sell your photos or share them with advertisers.
