These terms explain how Shoebox Portraits (“we”, “us”) works. By using restore.shoeboxportraits.com you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email a real person.

What we do

You upload a picture of an old photo. We repair, sharpen and colorize it using automated tools, including artificial intelligence. You see a free, watermarked preview before you pay anything.

Your photos

• Only upload photos you own or have the right to use. You are responsible for the photos you upload.
• You keep all rights to your photos and the restored versions. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you.
• We never use your photos to train AI models, and we never sell them.
• Uploads and restored photos are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can delete them sooner from your photos page.
• We don't accept explicit or illegal content. We may refuse to process a photo and, where the law requires, report illegal content to the authorities.

Payments

• All prices are one-time payments in US dollars. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
• Unused photos in your pack never expire.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your card is saved with Stripe so you can add offers with one tap that same day. We always show the price before charging.

About AI results

Restoration is automated and results can vary. Colors are a best guess, and details in badly damaged areas may be filled in. See our AI disclosure.

Limits

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Please keep your original photos; we can't replace them.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new date at the top of this page.
